By Road

The key approach to Eastbourne from London is the A22 (journey time 1½ - 2 hours).An alternative approach from London and the M25 is the M23/A23 and onto the A27, which is also the main route from the West, by-passing Brighton.

By Rail:

Trains to and from London Victoria are frequent and take just 90 minutes .There are frequent services linking Eastbourne with Brighton, Lewes and Hastings and an hourly service linking Eastbourne with Ashford International and Eurostar services.

By Air:

London Gatwick International Airport is less than an hour away by direct rail link or 1½ hours by car. If you come to Eastbourne by road from Gatwick, join the M23, then take the A23 after Pease Pottage and join the A27 above Patcham, near Brighton. Visitors arriving at London Heathrow Airport can either transfer to Gatwick by coach to catch train services or travel by underground to London Victoria for train and coach services to Eastbourne. If you come to Eastbourne by road from Heathrow, you will need to join the M4 before coming on to the M25 and then the M23 and finally on to the A23.
